Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor and Hillary Clinton backer, has some strong words for the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
Speaking at a Clinton rally, Buffett made jabs at Trump for not releasing his most recent tax return. Trump has made it clear that he plans to release his returns once an ongoing audit is completed. However, this isn't good enough for the Oracle of Omaha.
"I'm under audit too," Buffett said. "And I would be delighted to meet him anyplace, anytime, before the election. I'll bring my tax return, he can bring his tax return...and let people ask us questions about the items that are on there."
In all fairness, Trump's tax return will likely show he pays a very little tax rate. We know this because he has never made any attempt to hide this fact.
"I try very hard to pay as little tax as possible and have said that for the last two years," he told ABC News' George Stephanopoulous back in May. "I fight very hard because this country wastes our money. They take our tax money and throw it down the drain. They spend $4 trillion in the Middle East and we can't fix a road or a bridge. And I fight very hard."
