Motion Industries Acquires D.P. Brown of Detroit

Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company GPC announces the acquisition of D.P. Brown of Detroit, Inc. effective February 1, 2011. D.P. Brown, established in 1992, has four locations: Saginaw, MI; Westland, MI; Grand Rapids, MI and Perrysburg, OH (dba Advanced Rubber & Plastics). A large independent distributor servicing Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, D.P. Brown provides top quality products including conveyor belting, idlers, bearings, pulleys and power transmission products. Their conveyor belt services provide on-site installation and vulcanizing with experienced and certified crews as well as complete engineering services and fabrication of engineered conveyor systems.
