Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 113,000 head versus a year ago at 110,000 head. October live cattle is trading at 114.50, down 0.42 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 115.27, down 0.62 cents/lb. Nearby August live cattle is trading at 116.00, down 0.85 cents/lb.
