Worst Performing Industries For September 14, 2016


The Dow rose 0.28 percent to 18,116.95, while the NASDAQ composite index climbed 0.66 percent to 5,189.26. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 0.37 percent to 2,134.97.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Drugs Wholesale: This industry slipped 2.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was McKesson Corporation MCK, which fell 4.1 percent. McKesson shares have dropped 10.56 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 8.91 percent in the same period.
  • Home Health Care: This industry declined 0.6 percent by 11:00 am with Surgical Care Affiliates Inc SCAI moving down 1.8 percent. Surgical Care Affiliates’ PEG ratio is 2.03.
  • Home Furnishing Stores: This industry fell 0.5 percent by 11:00 am ET. Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc RH shares dropped 2.3 percent in today's trading. Restoration Hardware shares have tumbled 63.53 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 8.91 percent in the same period.
  • Drug Stores: The industry dropped 0.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was China Jo-Jo Drugstores Inc CJJD, which declined 3.8 percent.
