Monday's USDA cattle slaughter was 114,000 head versus a year ago at 105,000 head. October live cattle settled at 98.92, up 0.02 cents/lb. December live cattle settled at 99.97, down 0.15 cents/lb. February live cattle settled at 100.37, down 0.22 cents/lb.
