Alliant Energy Corporation LNT reported 4Q operating EPS of $0.55 versus $0.55 a year ago, Wunderlich Securities writes, noting that its own estimate was $0.58.
“Operating earnings for 2010 were $2.75 versus our estimate of $2.78. The 4Q results had slightly higher costs than we anticipated,” Wunderlich Securities writes. “Both the 4Q and 2010 operating results exclude non-recurring charges. LNT also disclosed higher 2012 and 2013 capital spending. Though LNT accepted a rate freeze in Iowa through 2013, the higher capital spending will drive capitalized returns in Iowa and higher cash earnings in Wisconsin.
“We are increasing our 2012 and 2013 EPS estimates to $3.01 and $3.17, respectively.”
Wunderlich Securities has also raised the PT on Alliant Energy Corporation, which closed Thursday at $38.74.
