- Toys & Games: This industry gained 3.4 percent by 10:30 am. The top stock within the industry was Mattel, Inc. MAT, which gained 6 percent. Mattel posted stronger-than-expected revenue for its third quarter on Wednesday.
- Small Tools & Accessories: This industry rose 3.3 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Snap-on Incorporated SNA, which gained 8 percent. Snap-on posted upbeat earnings for the third quarter.
- Drug Stores: The industry gained 3.2 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Rite Aid Corporation RAD, which gained 6.7 percent. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc WBA and Rite Aid disclosed that they have agreed to extend their merger date from October 27 current year to January 27, 2017. Both companies are confident in closing the transaction early next year.
- Credit Services: This industry moved up 1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was JetPay Corporation JTPY, which rose 10 percent.
