Transocean Early Release Of Earnings Were Incorrectly Calculated From Special Items (RIG)

Chatter spread earlier today that Transocean's RIG earnings had been released early on its website. As Benzinga and CNBC reported, the earnings were calculated at $0.68 versus the Street EPS estimate of $0.89. Transocean called Benzinga to confirm that these early release numbers were incorrectly calculated without proper adjustments to special items on the earnings release. The updated calculations put Transocean earnings at $0.83, much closer to the Street consensus.
