Trading Tomorrow's Auto Sales (F, GM, TM, HMC, NSANY)

Tomorrow will mark the release of February's auto sales from Ford F, General Motors GM, Toyota TM, Honda HMC and other car manufacturers, such as Chrsyler and Nissan NSANY. Given the increase in uncertainty the market has seen over Toyota's reliability, there's a better than average chance Toyota may not sell as many cars as expected. Ford and General Motors should show healthier numbers than Toyota, as the company's continue to reap the good will of customers. Traders can take advantage of any weakness in shares of these two Michigan-based car makers and go long for a trade into the numbers if they believe that Ford and GM will outperform market expectations. Honda doesn't react as much as the other three to their monthly sales numbers. The reports will trickle in throughout the day. GM usually kicks things off in the morning around 11 a.m. or so with the release of its monthly data.
