Shaw Receives Full Notice to Proceed on Duke Energy's Dan River Combined Cycle Plant

The Shaw Group Inc. SHAW today announced it received full notice to proceed on a new gas-fired facility at Duke Energy's DUK Dan River Steam Station in North Carolina. Scheduled to begin operation in late 2012, the new 620-megawatt natural gas-fired combined-cycle generating unit will replace two older units at the facility. At the peak of construction, the project will employ more than 400 workers.
