Microsoft Corporation MSFT reported its second quarter earnings after the close on Thursday. Shares rose about 1 percent following the release.
- Microsoft reports Q2 EPS $0.83, beating by $0.04
- Adj. Revenues of $26.1 billion, beats by $820 million
- $6.5 billion was returned to shareholders in the form of dividends and share repurchases
- Microsoft did not issue guidance
“Our customers are seeing greater value and opportunity as we partner with them through their digital transformation,” said CEO Satya Nadella. “Accelerating advancements in AI across our platforms and services will provide further opportunity to drive growth in the Microsoft Cloud."
Microsoft also announced the completion of the acquisition of LinkedIn in the quarter.
The stock traded recently at $64.55, up about 0.44 percent.
