Casey's General Stores Reports EPS of $0.37 vs. $0.50; Revenues $1.37B vs. $1.29B

Casey's General Stores, Inc. CASY today reported $0.34 in basic earnings per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2011 ended January 31, 2011, compared to $0.34 for the same quarter a year ago.

Year to date, basic earnings per share were $1.64 versus $1.87 for the same period last year. The results include approximately $27.4 million in expenses pertaining to the Company's recapitalization plan completed in the second quarter, as well as the unsolicited hostile offer and related actions by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., of which $1.7 million was recorded in the third quarter.

Without those expenses, basic earnings per share would have been $0.37 for the quarter and $2.06 year to date.
