International Launch For iPad 2 Today

Hundreds of eager Apple AAPL customers lined up outside Apple stores today, as the iPad 2 is having its international launch today. There were hundreds seen outside the company's flagship stores in in Australia and New Zealand, as the population can't wait to get its hand on the latest and greatest from Cupertino. Analysts believe that perhaps as many as 1 million iPads were sold on the first weekend in the U.S., but given the supply constraints potentially seen from the devastation in Japan, there are varying estimates on the international launch. Shares of Apple are up $2.73 to $347.70, a gain of 0.8% in pre-market trading.
