Hain Celestial Pops And Drops In Volatile Trading After Q3 Report

Hain Celestial Group Inc HAIN shares are trading lower by 75 cents at $32.41 in Thursday's session. Before the open, the company delivered a mixed bag of news, which is being reflected in today's price action.

It began with a Q3 EPS miss of 24 cents along with a sales miss of about $17 million. That was followed by mixed guidance for the following quarters, resulting in overall lower FY 2017 guidance.

For some reason, Hain's stock opened sharply higher and rallied to $35.75 before collapsing. The ensuing decline has taken the stock to its lowest level since June 2013 ($31.42), when it bottomed at $32.06. At this time, it's struggling to get back to its closing price of $33.16.
