HSN Investors Eager To Cash Out After Liberty Buyout

HSN, Inc. HSNI shares are trading higher by $8.83 (27 percent) at $40.13 in Thursday's session.

Before the open, Liberty Interactive QCG Group QVCA entered an agreement to acquire the remaining 62 percent that it doesn't own in all-stock transaction for $2.6 billion, or $40.36 per share.

Investors have been cashing out of HSN since the opening bell. After it opened at a $2.00 premium to the proposed price, the stock reached $42.75 shortly after the opening bell.

In fact, some investors were even willing to sell at a discount to the proposed price as the stock slid to $39.10, but returned to the $40.36 area.
