Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR) added $4.34 or 25.08% to $21.67 after Adobe (Nasdaq: ADBE) agreed to acquire the company for $21.50. The acquired price is about 24% premium over yesterday’s closing price.
CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) is expected to post second-quarter earnings of 22 cents a share, according to analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters. In Yesterday’s trade the stock closed at $10.81.
Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) surged 8.63% to $3.40 in after hours trade after the Company has entered into a Committed Equity Financing Facility with Kingsbridge Capital Limited, a private investment group.
PPG Industries, Inc. (NYSE: PPG) was upgraded to “neutral” from “sell” at UBS AG, which said earnings from chlorine and caustic soda sales will improve from the second quarter.
Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS) jumped up 3.16% to $18.60 as it raised its sales forecast for the third quarter, citing stronger chip demand, which led to higher royalty payments. Rambus said it expects revenue for the quarter ending on Sept. 30 to be between $27 million and $28 million. Previously the company had said it expected revenue of $22 million to $25 million.
Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) rallied 5.58% to $4.35 as Dow Jones reported that Citigroup Inc. launched a combined $5 billion debt offering on September 12, 2009. The three-part deal will be sold via the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.'s Temporary Liquidity Guarantee program. Citibank NA launched a $1.5 billion two-year fixed-rate tranche at three basis points below midswaps and a $1 billion three-year floating-rate note flat to the three-month London Interbank Offered rate.
