BP Higher Despite No Deal To Resume In Gulf Of Mexico (BP)

Shares of BP plc BP have given up the majority of its gains seen earlier in the session on news that United States Secretary of the Interior Kenneth Lee "Ken" Salazar said that there has been no deal reached for the company to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. At last check, shares were up 10 cents to $45.76, but had been as high as $46.19 earlier in the session on the rumor.
