Avicanna believes that its two main business segments, namely research and development or “R&D” and cultivation, strategically position it to be a front runner in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of plant-derived cannabinoid-based products and Extracts throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
It intends to capitalize on the nexus between both business segments where the intellectual property gained from its R&D efforts is used to inform and improve the products of its cultivation and extraction activities and the raw materials from its cultivation and extraction efforts can be used to further its R&D activities; and Avicanna anticipates, in both cases, to benefit from a reduced cost from what would be incurred through purchasing such intellectual property or raw materials, as the case may be, from third parties.
