California authorities have arrested four Los Angeles residents accused of staging bear attacks on luxury cars to defraud insurance companies out of nearly $142,000. Dubbed “Operation Bear Claw,” the scheme involved submitting false claims that a bear had damaged a Rolls-Royce and two Mercedes vehicles.
