Oklahoma Board Backs Rule Requiring Parents' Citizenship Proof For Student Enrollment

Oklahoma parents will soon be asked to show proof of their immigration or citizenship status before enrolling their children in school, following a controversial vote by the State Board of Education on Tuesday. The proposed rule change, which passed 6-0, still needs approval from the legislature and governor before it can take effect.
