Apple's upcoming iPhone 16e promises a step forward from the old SE line, but it leaves behind quite a few features in the process. Priced at $600, this so-called "budget" device might not be a one-size-fits-all replacement for the higher-end models. While the 16e packs a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, an A18 chip, and a new in-house modem, Apple had to cut corners in other areas.
