Opal Capital: What Is A Successful Strategy In This High Interest Rate Environment?

Benzinga recently hosted its first virtual event focused on investing in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), dubbed “ETF: Unlocked”. Sponsored by Traders Accounting, the event brought together important thought leaders in the space to share their expertise and discuss current and future trends for 2023.

One of the featured participants was Austin Graff, CIO of Opal Capital, an investment management firm that focuses on equity income investing solutions. Opal serves as the sub-advisor of the TrueShares Low Volatility Equity Income ETF DIVZ.

Speaking of the state of high interest rates, Mr. Graff stated “We think that is going to lead to more dispersion in equities. And so we think there is a lot of value to be added by having active concentrated portfolios in the equities space. And so one of the areas we’re focused on is income because there are alot of baby boomers that are retiring that have a need for income throughout retirement. So we try to put together products that meet the needs of our investors.”
