Benzinga's Top ETF Gainers, February 22nd (VXX, SOXS, CZI, SQQQ)

iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN VXX traded 12.13% higher in the regular trading session today, and it added 1.14% in the after hours. S&P 500 recorded its biggest single day decline today, since the beginning of the year. Investors are worried about unrest in Libya, and they are trying to find shelter in oil and gold. Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bear 3X Shares SOXS spiked 11.78% today, and in the semiconductor space, NVIDIA Corporation NVDA dropped 9.44%. Applied Materials, Inc. AMAT fell 4.89%, and KLA-Tencor Corporation KLAC lost 4.65%. Direxion Daily China Bear 3x Shares ETF CZI gained 10.60% on the weakness of stocks like Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR) BIDU and China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (ADR) LFC. Baidu.com (BIDU) fell 5.14% today, and China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (ADR) (LFC) dropped 3.06%. ProShares Trust UltraPro Short QQQ ETF SQQQ added 8.87% today, as the NASDAQ-100 Index fell 2.91%. Expeditors International of Washington EXPD was the biggest laggard in the NASDAQ-100 Index on Tuesday. It fell 10.56%, and closed at $49.04.
