The fallout from a Presidential panel which blamed a number of different oil service companies for the BP oil spill, including Transocean (NYSE:
RIG) and Halliburton (NYSE:
HAL), in addition to BP (NYSE:
BP), is continuing to weigh on the sector.
On Monday all of the major oil service names have fallen. Schlumberger (NYSE:
SLB) shares have lost 1.36% to $80.47. Transocean (
RIG) is down 2% at $73.54, and Halliburton (
HAL) has shed 1.17% to $38.00.
The Oil Service HOLDRs ETF (NYSE:
OIH) is down 1.65% to $136.95 and has lost 2.55% already in 2011.
