Allan Maman got his business career started early, creating Fidget360 while he was still in high school. Maman credits, at least partially, Fidget360 for starting the fidget spinner fad of 2017-2018.
Since then, Maman has packed his resume with impressive roles, including Robinhood Markets Inc HOOD and presidential candidates Andrew Yang and Michael Bloomberg.
Now, Maman helps run Bloom, an investing app that he co-founded to help educate Gen Z on investing and personal finance.
Maman sat down with Benzinga co-founder Jason Raznick to discuss what he has learned through his experiences.
Bloom's Mission For Young Investors: Maman's role today at Bloom includes pretty much everything that isn’t technical, he said. Maman has helped grow Bloom, which now has more than 800,000 users and markets itself as the “Stock Investing App for Teens.”
The website even has a tab to allow parents set up investment accounts for their kids.
Bloom aims to help educate young people on the benefits of investing early. According to Bloom’s website, more than 70% of Americans regret not investing earlier in their lives.
“We realized there are a lot of young people getting into investing — how do we make sure we are that really good teacher that someone wished they had when they were younger?” Maman told Raznick during the interview.
