Expanding its early 2023 collaboration with Abu Dhabi-based AI company G42, Microsoft Corp MSFT has taken the next step with a plan that would include sovereign cloud offerings and co-innovate and generate advanced AI capabilities leading to the expansion of existing data center infrastructure in the UAE across sectors.
The aim is to accelerate the UAE's digital transformation and enable the public sector and regulated industries to leverage the latest cloud and AI technologies on the Azure public cloud.

AI-enabled, industry-specific solutions can be applied to health and life sciences, energy, sustainability and projects of national importance. The United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP28, will be held in Dubai later 2023 and could be one of the potential clients.
Microsoft will also expand its Azure services footprint in the UAE through Khazna Data Centers, a joint venture company between G42 and e&.
On Similar Lines: Last week, the Scottish government announced the launch of a Cloud Platform Service thereby enabling the public sector to grab Microsoft's Azure. Azure also enables healthcare providers to maintain large databases utilizing the public cloud-hosted infrastructure.
