Jeff Bezos Celebrated His 60th Birthday With A Space-Themed Party And Served His Celebrity Friends Both McDonald's And Caviar — Insisted 'No Gifts Allowed'

Amazon.com Inc. Founder Jeff Bezos marked his 60th birthday with a spectacular celebration in Beverly Hills, California, according to a report by Page Six. 

The event, orchestrated by his fiancée Lauren Sanchez, was distinguished by its unusual "no-gift" policy. This decision by Bezos, who is among the richest people in the world, highlighted his preference for valuing the presence and company of his guests over receiving material gifts at the lavish event.

The exclusive party drew a constellation of high-profile guests, including celebrities like Bill Gates, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Heidi Klum, Jewel, Kendall Jenner, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Paris Hilton.

According to Daily Mail, photography was prohibited during the party, and guests were required to secure their mobile phones in special pouches upon arrival. Guests posted about the party on social media the next day, sharing photos of the event. 

The party’s celestial space-age theme paid homage to Bezos’s venture into aerospace with his company, Blue Origin. In keeping with this motif, Sanchez dazzled in a custom red Laura Basci gown adorned with Swarovski crystals, paired with a striking $4,995 crystal-encrusted rocket ship bag by Judith Leiber. The attention to detail was remarkable, featuring a replica of Bezos’ original Amazon office, including his first desk chair, signifying the humble beginnings of his now-global empire.

In a unique juxtaposition of the ordinary and the opulent, the party menu included an unusual mix of McDonald’s and caviar. This choice symbolically bridged Bezos’s first job at McDonald’s at age 16 with the luxury that defines his current status. The culinary choice highlighted the journey from his modest start to the pinnacle of business success.
