MyTEPI Launches The Cannabis Profiler App To Help Consumers Navigate Numerous Products On Market

MyTEPI, a technology startup focused on providing navigation tools to cannabis consumers, launched its beta web app, The Cannabis Profiler, a first-of-its-kind web app to help guide cannabis consumers based on science, not reviews.

MyTEPI, which stands for My Therapeutic Effects Potential Index, was designed to help consumers understand what they are buying without the burden of education.

Why is that necessary?

The current state of the cannabis industry requires that everyone become an expert in order to understand the differences between as well as uses of the many products on the market. To that end, The Cannabis Profiler was developed to help consumers simply enter the data from their cannabis product and generate their profile with the click of a button. Profiles include suggested effects and a rating to grade the likelihood of a balanced effect versus a possible adverse event. All Profiles are rooted in the latest pharmacological research publicly available.
“We focus on translating Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from state-licensed laboratories into product profiles to describe the possible effects of cannabis,” per a company press release. “We also rate each product based on the likelihood of a balanced effect versus a possible adverse event. Our mission is to help people navigate cannabis.”

How It Works

Built and maintained by utilizing the latest publicly available pharmacological data and research, the framework looks at the plant’s chemical composition and ratios between its active compounds to make directional judgments about its potential therapeutic content.
