Social media continues to be an emotional outlet for many Americans during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Healthtrends.com recently released its report pertaining to which states are taking to Twitter Inc TWTR the most to post about depression and anxiety during the pandemic.
The report consisted of geotagged data for nearly 1 million tweets throughout the month of April. As data was collected, the rankings were created by way of which states mentioned #depression, #anxiety and #sad the most, among similar hashtags.
Overall, six of the 10 states tweeting the most about depression and anxiety are in the Midwest. The following are the states that re tweeting the most about depression and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Oklahoma
- Kentucky
- Minnesota
