Apple said that the components of a head-mounted device could generate heat during operation. Excessive heat for long periods can damage the components of the device and make it uncomfortable for users, reported Patenlyapple.com.
Apple’s invention covers systems that effectively manage heat while simultaneously controlling noise output.
If the system works, it could be great news for video gamers and other users who use head-mounted devices for longer durations.
Why It’s Important: Apple’s much-anticipated mixed reality headset is expected to release in 2023. It is reportedly heavily inspired by the AirPods Max and Apple Watch.
The device might feature two 8K OLED displays, advanced sensors for the environment and gesture detection.
But compared to Meta's latest VR headset, Quest Pro, Apple’s first device could be expensive, costing between $1000 and $3000.
