Activision Blizzard Inc ATVI announced the postponement of the releases of season 2 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

The delay was made public via Twitter and was meant to give Activision more time to incorporate community feedback through various improvements. Instead of the launch on Feb. 1, the games will be released on Feb. 15.

"Our studio teams have been making several changes based on what we heard from our player community," Activision tweeted.

Will Call of Duty Be Worth It?

Fans were wondering what changes would be implemented.

In its statement, the company assured season 2 included all new content with the return of resurgence, a brand new small map for Warzone 2.0 and updates to the gulags, looting and loadout.

“Ranked play is also back and coming to 'MWII,' along with new multiplayer maps, new modes, weapons, and much more,” Activision said.

“Stay tuned for additional intel,” the company added.

Despite a successful launch last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 saw a decline in player satisfaction. Many players of Modern Warfare 2 felt the game lacked content compared to the free-to-play Warzone 2.0. However, the DMZ extraction mode received positive feedback from the community.
