MrBeast, the popular YouTuber known for his generous philanthropy and stunts, changed his Twitter bio to read "Twitter Super Official CEO" on Monday, sparking speculation about the future of the platform.
This came after a December exchange by current Twitter CEO Elon Musk and MrBeast in which Musk stated the possibility of the YouTuber leading Twitter wasn't "out of the question."
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has more than 129 million subscribers on YouTube and 17.8 million on Twitter, but had not yet commented on the change.
While it was uncertain what the 24-year-old YouTuber's change in bio truly means, it was clear that he held a great deal of influence on social media.
Long-time Tesla Inc TSLA bull Ross Gerber sent a tweet saying MrBeast taking the helm at Twitter could be beneficial to the platform.
“If true an epic and truly unique management team and approach coming to Twitter. YouTube must be scared,” Gerber said.

Donaldson’s philanthropy and stunts had earned him a reputation as a positive force in the online community, and his massive following could make him a strong candidate for a leadership role at a major platform like Twitter.
It is worth noting that MrBeast's change of bio could be just a joke or a way to attract attention, as he had a history of doing such things.
Until an official statement from him is released, it's hard to say for sure what his intentions are.
