The future of EA Tiburon, the Orlando, Florida-based game development studio of Electronic Arts EA, is heavily reliant on the performance of the upcoming Madden 24.
Sources told Insider Gaming that EA acknowledged the criticism directed at Madden 23 and views this year's release as a "make or break" moment for the company.
“EA has big plans for Madden 24 and the management of the game knows how big of a year it is," the source said. "Not just for the game, but for their future in their positions."

Meanwhile, if Madden 24 turns out to be excessively glitchy, EA Tiburon may experience a major upheaval.
But fans should rest easy: the franchise will likely persist even if a shake-up occurs, as EA has secured the contract for Madden games through 2026.
Some of the controversy surrounding Madden 23 includes players who lost their Connected Franchise save due to an EA Tiburon update that caused files to corrupt. Gamers who have been affected by this bug will have a 50% discount on the next title of the franchise.
What Can Fans Expect From Madden 24?
Madden 24 will reportedly prioritize single-player and offline modes, though EA has remained tight-lipped on further details after the leakage of gameplay updates for Madden 23.
As per Gaming Insider, the developers believe Franchise Mode is close to meeting expectations, with minor additions needed to maintain player engagement, in addition to larger fixes for database issues. Although better contract management is said to be a high-priority item for the mode, it remains uncertain if it will be ready for Madden 24.
