Paid To Play Games On Your Phone? 'Side-Hustle Addict' Makes Up To $4,000 A Week Playing Solitaire And Bingo

Zinger Key Points
  • Self-proclaimed side-hustle addict says playing games can be one of the most lucrative side gigs.
  • "Sounds nuts, obviously, but the idea of playing cash solitaire as a side gig has been around for years," he says.

A self-proclaimed side-hustle addict shared a few unique gigs that are relatively easy to do and can supplement your income in a big way.

What To Know: According to a Quora post, paperstacker.org writer Ben F. has tried more than 30 different side hustles over the past two years. Three of them really stood out as easy moneymakers.

Like playing games — why not get paid to have fun? Ben noted that some of his biggest paydays have come from games like solitaire and speed bingo.

"Sounds nuts, obviously, but the idea of playing cash solitaire as a side gig has been around for years, and can be surprisingly lucrative (if you’re good enough, anyway)," he said.

Ben explained that if you are skilled at playing solitaire, you can make up to $4,000 a week on Solitaire Cash, a free game available for download in Apple Inc's AAPL iOS app store.

The game requires you to play head-to-head matches against other players competing on the app. The winner can take home up to $80 per game and the matches only last about two minutes, he said.

He also suggested playing speed bingo on the Bingo Cash app in the Apple app store. It's similar to the solitaire game, but for people who prefer the gameplay of bingo. Some of the top players are making $3,000 to $4,000 a week, he noted.

If you don't want to compete for money playing games, you can earn cash by testing games and apps through a platform called TesterUp, Ben said, adding there are other similar platforms out there.

It's completely free to sign up and some of the tests pay up to $120, which "can add up pretty quickly," he said.

Lastly, Ben recommended seeing if you are eligible to get paid to share your screen time. Nielsen selects individuals for research studies and the data collection company pays pretty well, he said. You just have to install an app on your phone that will track how often you use it.

"Not everybody qualifies for it ... but if you do, it’s a sweet gig," he said.
