Singer Taylor Swift has generously gifted six-figure bonuses to truckers on her Eras Tour, TMZ reports.
The pop star handed out $100,000 checks to each trucker before her show in Santa Clara, CA on Saturday. These truckers have been responsible for transporting Swift’s equipment throughout the U.S. leg of her tour. With around 50 truckers on her team, Swift has reportedly spent about $5 million on these bonuses.
The bonuses were given as an “end of the tour” gesture, with the U.S. leg of the tour wrapping up next week. Swift’s Eras Tour has been a massive success, generating $1 billion in sales and can potentially become the highest-grossing tour of all time.
Along with truckers, band members, dancers, lighting and sound technicians, caterers, and others have received “generous” bonuses although the amount was not known.
