Taylor Swift has revealed that her Grammy-award-winning album “1989” will be re-released as a part of her “Taylor’s Version” series, reports USA Today.
Swift announced the upcoming release during the final show of the first leg of her “Eras tour” on Aug. 9 in Los Angeles. The album will be available on Oct. 27. Swift teased the announcement during her concert, dropping hints related to the date and the album’s title.
The crowd erupted with excitement as the pop star unveiled the news. The re-recorded “1989”, renamed “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” will feature 21 tracks, including five previously unreleased songs “from the vault.”
This album follows her recent release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).”
The original album marked a significant shift in Swift’s career, signaling her transition from country to pop bagging the 2016 Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
The “Taylor’s Version” series is part of Swift’s effort to reclaim her artistic ownership following the sale of her original master recordings by Scooter Braun.
