Security Guard Who Became Viral Sensation At Taylor Swift's Concert Allegedly Fired Afterwards

A security guard who gained online fame after he was seen singing along to Taylor Swift’s songs at her ‘Eras Tour’ concert has been dismissed from his job, The Independent reported.

The security officer, Calvin Denker, was employed by Best, a security company based in Minnesota. Denker went viral in June when he was filmed singing to Swift’s hit “Cruel Summer” during her performance. The video garnered over 2.9 million views.

Denker revealed in a TikTok video that he was fired after working at Ed Sheeran‘s Bank Stadium concert on Aug. 12. He admitted to distributing notes to concertgoers asking them to photograph him if Taylor Swift was in the background, which led to his dismissal.

Denker claimed in the video that he offered to delete his TikTok account to retain his job but didn’t hear back from BEST. He emphasized that his primary concern was ensuring the safety of Swift and the fans enjoying the concert.
