Burning Man Entry Starts At $800, But Total Costs Can Skyrocket Into Thousands

The Burning Man festival is well-known for its radical self-expression and eye-watering ticket prices. However, the actual cost of attending the event extends far beyond the ticket price, Business Insider reported.

The nine-day festival held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert is not for those on a tight budget. With tickets costing at least $630, including taxes and fees, attendees or “Burners” are already out of pocket before they even reach the desert.

Burners also need to budget for additional costs such as vehicle passes, transportation to the site, food and water, lodging, and even costumes. For those who opt for private jets, RV rentals, or luxury camps, the costs can soar into the thousands.

In addition to these necessities, attendees must also factor in the cost of survival supplies. The website of Burning Man recommends essential items that can easily add another $100 or more to the overall spend.

Keeping in mind all the elements and the ability to cut costs, the actual cost of attending Burning Man can range from $1,000 to $2,000.
