Elon Musk Takes Son X To Texas Formula One Event Amid Intense Custody Battle With Grimes

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s son X Æ A-12 was spotted with him at a recent Formula One race in Texas amid Musk’s ongoing custody dispute with musician Grimes.

According to a Business Insider report, 3-year-old X is the focus of a parental rights case between Musk and Grimes. Musk, who filed his lawsuit in Texas, is seeking to “establish the parent-child relationship” with the three children he shares with Grimes. In response, Grimes filed her own suit in California, seeking primary physical custody and joint legal custody.

The primary residence of the children is the central issue, as it would determine the jurisdiction of the case. Grimes, legally known as Claire Boucher, stated that she moved to California with their one-year-old twins last year. Musk, however, asserted that the twins lived in Texas as recently as July.

Experts in family law have stated that the case should proceed in the state where the children live. Therefore, Musk and Grimes might spend the next year proving their respective claims to the court.

The state’s decision could have significant implications, especially regarding potential child support judgments. Texas caps monthly child support payments, while California does not. If Grimes proves the children live in California, it could result in “one of the biggest child support cases of all time,” as per family law attorney Peter M. Walzer.
