Donald Trump Calls Kim Kardashian 'Most Overrated Celebrity' Amid Book Controversy

In a recent social media outburst, former President Donald Trump labeled reality TV star Kim Kardashian as the “most overrated celebrity.” The comment was made in response to allegations made in a new book about Trump.

What Happened: Trump used his Truth Social platform to vent his frustration over the contents of a book by ABC’s Jonathan Karl titled “Tired of Winning,” reported The Hill. The book suggests that Trump asked Kardashian to leverage her celebrity status to attract football players to the White House, a claim he adamantly refutes.

In 2018, Kardashian met with Trump to discuss prison reform and advocate for the clemency of Alice Johnson, which was granted by Trump shortly thereafter. The book further suggests that Kardashian sought additional commutations from Trump.

In his post, Trump declared that he did not require Kardashian’s assistance to bring football players to the White House, referring to her as the “world's most overrated celebrity.” He further stated that he granted more commutations at the behest of Kanye West, Kardashian’s ex-husband than Kardashian herself.

Trump concluded his post by criticizing Karl’s book and insinuating that Kardashian likely voted for “Crooked Joe Biden.”

Why It Matters: Kardashian’s relationship with the Trump family has been a topic of interest, with her even receiving Ivanka Trump, the former president’s daughter, at her birthday party in October 2023. Ivanka’s presence at the event was seen as a return to her socialite roots and an effort to distance herself from her father’s image.
