ChatGPT became the fastest-growing consumer application ever and passed one hundred million users. Wikipedia reports that the ChatGPT pages saw strong interest throughout the entire year.
Deaths in 2023 remained a popular search item across Wikipedia, with the overall list of deaths ranking as the second most read story. Several movies ranked as the top-read Wikipedia pages, including a few international movies.

The Walt Disney Company DIS struggled at the box office, with no movies hitting the $1 billion box office figure worldwide in 2023. The company had two of its films, “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, ranking among the year’s most viewed Wikipedia pages.
Taylor Swift, ranked 12th on Wikipedia’s list, was named Time Person of the Year for 2023 and had a record-breaking tour.
