Jimmy Kimmel, the late-night host, has taken a jab once again at former President Donald Trump for his recent public statements, calling them “completely off the rails.”
What Happened: Kimmel, on his Tuesday night show, highlighted Trump’s recent string of comments, reported HuffPost. Kimmel played a clip of Trump saying, “No one wants to restore on this planet peace through Earth more than Donald Trump,” and then questioned the statement’s meaning.
Trump also made a bold prediction of a “100 percent chance” of a major terrorist attack in the United States.
To this Kimmel joked, “He’s like a Magic Hate Ball – you just shake them up and something comes out.”
He then contrasted Trump’s statements with those of President Joe Biden, stating, “Can you imagine Joe Biden ever saying something like there’s a 100% [chance of a terrorist attack]’? No. You can’t. You know because he’s not crazy. He is nervous, but not crazy.”
Why It Matters: This isn’t the first time Kimmel has taken a dig at Trump’s public statements. Earlier in January, Kimmel mocked Trump’s victory speech in the Iowa caucuses, describing it as “like reading his own resume.” Kimmel has consistently used his platform to critique Trump’s statements, as seen in his response to Trump’s “most nonsensical” election claims in December 2023.
