In a no-holds-barred return to “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart took shots at both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
What Happened: On Monday, Stewart, the former host of “The Daily Show,” made a comeback to the show and did not hold back in his critique of the current and former presidents, reported HuffPost.
Stewart showed footage of Biden’s press conference addressing concerns about his cognitive abilities. The event, meant to reassure the public, was marred by Biden’s misspeaks, Stewart pointed out.
He also criticized Biden for not taking the opportunity to prove himself during a post-Super Bowl interview, choosing to release a TikTok video instead.
“Fire everyone. Everyone!” Stewart exclaimed.
“How do you go on TikTok and end up looking older?”

Stewart then shifted his focus to Trump, who had recently mispronounced “Pennsylvania” in a rally and made an odd claim about the state’s name being changed.
“What the f**k are we doing here, people?” Stewart questioned.
“Biden's lost a step, but Trump regularly says things at rallies that would warrant a wellness check.”
Stewart concluded his monologue with a serious message, emphasizing the ongoing work required to make the world better.
Why It Matters: Stewart’s return to “The Daily Show” comes amid a charged political climate. A recent poll suggested that the American public shares concerns about Biden and Trump’s age and mental health, with 59% of respondents believing that they are too old to contest in the 2024 general election.
This candid critique from Stewart comes after he revealed the reason behind the cancellation of his show “The Problem With Jon Stewart” by Apple TV+. The network was reportedly concerned about the remarks he might make, leading to the show’s termination in October.
