Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban will be exiting "Shark Tank" after the upcoming 16th season after years of deals made with investors.
In a recent interview, Cuban highlighted how impressive it is that the show has been on the air for so long.
"It's not being on TV that's made it special. It's sending a message to everybody that watches that the American dream is alive and well," Cuban said on the "Life in Seven Songs" podcast.
Cuban told podcast host Sophie Bearman that he always hears that Shark Tank led people to start their own businesses.
“My family's together and we hear it all the time: ‘you know, I grew up watching Shark Tank and I started this business,’ you know, now in more recent seasons, entrepreneurs are coming out pitching to us, saying ‘you know, I learned about business’ or ‘I got excited about starting my own company by watching Shark Tank.'”
Cuban said it's "really rewarding" to hear this.

The billionaire entrepreneur said the show has made several people millionaires and a "significant number" of people who come on the show and get funded have been successful.
"Just getting people to agree that there is an American dream that still exists and that people can be excited about that, that's been important to me."
Cuban said the show successfully gets people to explore new ideas and be creative, which is "a good thing."
The Sugarhill Gang classic "Rapper's Delight" was picked by Cuban to describe his time on "Shark Tank" on the podcast where guests pick seven songs to define their career and life.
"Whenever we need energy, that's the song," Cuban added.
“Shark Tank” premieres its 16th season on ABC on Oct. 18.
