The Walt Disney Company‘s DIS Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to continue its Spider-Man story as Tom Holland confirmed Spider-Man 4 will begin filming in summer 2025.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon, Holland announced: “It’s happening. Next summer we start shooting. Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there. It’s super exciting; I can’t wait.”

This is the first official confirmation from Holland, although discussions around a sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home have been ongoing. Marvel Studios had previously teased a fourth Spider-Man film, but Holland’s statement confirms it's moving forward.
What To Expect From Spider-Man 4
Plot details for the next Spider-Man film remain under wraps. However, it’s likely to follow up on the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” where Peter Parker chose to erase himself from the memories of everyone he loves, including MJ and his best friend Ned. The last scene of the film shows Peter moving into a small apartment in New York, hinting at a more grounded direction for the next chapter.
Holland has spoken about the script before, mentioning that it “lit a fire in him,” suggesting a more personal and possibly smaller-scale story compared to the previous multiverse-spanning adventure.
Could Miles Morales Join The MCU?
Holland has also expressed interest in introducing Miles Morales to the MCU. He said: “If I would be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU, I'd love to do for a young kid what [Robert Downey Jr.] did for me.”
While nothing has been confirmed yet, fans are eager to see if Spider-Man 4 will mark the debut of Morales, the character featured in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Spider-Man’s MCU Journey
Holland first appeared as Spider-Man in 2016's Captain America: Civil War before starring in his own trilogy of films. His most recent outing in Spider-Man: No Way Home was a major success, featuring appearances from previous Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
