The Best In eSports In 2022: Riot Games, 'Valorant' And All Of The Winners Of The eSports Awards 2022

The Esports Awards 2022, one of the most important award shows of the electronic sports industry, have left us with a selection of the best individuals and organizations in this growing scene.

The event took place in the Resorts World Las Vegas Theatre on December 13 and honored the greatest players of the industry in 34 categories, including team, coach, player, caster, host, journalist, and esports content creator of the year.

Tencent TCEHY’s Riot Games was one of the biggest winners, as the American video game developer took home the awards for Esports Publisher of the Year, Esports Broadcast/Production Team of the Year, and Esports Game of the Year thanks to the extremely popular “Valorant.”

The Brazilian esports organization LOUD picked up the awards for Esports Team of the Year and Esports Creative Team of the Year, while Krafton’s (KRX: 259960) "PUBG MOBILE" won Esports Mobile Game of the Year.

But, who were the best players of 2022 according to the Esports Awards?

The Canadian Russel Van Dulken, aka “Twistzz,” won Esports Play of the Year. The American Matthew “FormaL” Piper took home the Esports Controller Player of the Year, and the Ukrainian Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev picked up the Esports PC Player of the Year Award.

Moreover, the Esports Awards recognized the new faces of the esports scene, giving the French Enzo “Seikoo” Grondein the prize for Esports Controller Rookie of the Year, and the Russian Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov the prize for Esports PC Rookie of the Year.

In addition, the Spanish Ibai Llanos -who amasses more than 12 million followers on Twitch- won Streamer of the Year for the third consecutive time, whereas the American Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag secured his prize for Esports Personality of the Year.
Finally, Logitech G (NASDAQ: LOGI) was honored with the award for Esports Hardware Provider of the Year, and Verizon VZ won Esports Commercial Partner of the Year.
