According to Spencer's announcement, the objective of the deal is to bring Activision Blizzard ATVI games to EE customers.
"Microsoft and EE are expanding our partnership with a 10-year commitment in cloud gaming to bring PC games built by Activision Blizzard, following the acquisition, and Xbox to EE customers. We are committed to bringing more games to more people, however they choose to play," Spencer tweeted this Tuesday.
Microsoft has been making headlines lately with a series of 10-year partnership deals aimed at ensuring a smooth acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The latest partnerships include collaborations with the cloud gaming platform Boosteroid, cloud streaming company Ubitus, Nvidia Corporation NVDA and Nintendo ADR NTDOY.
Further details of the partnership have yet to be revealed, but James Auterson, an EE spokesperson, told The Verge: “As part of our ambition to be the number one destination for gamers, we are naturally reviewing many exciting new areas for how we can evolve our customers' gaming experiences with cloud gaming services being just one part of this. We have nothing further to announce on our future plans at the moment.”
