Electronic Arts Inc.'s EA Respawn Entertainment, the video game developer behind the Star Wars video game franchise, has announced a new patch for its latest release "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."

The patch is aimed at fixing bugs that were reported on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. According to the EA Star Wars official Twitter account, it will be available on consoles from May 9, while PC users can expect to receive it later this week.

This will be the fourth patch released by Respawn Entertainment, and it is expected to address a range of issues that players have reported.

As EA shared in a blog post, the PC version of the game will receive exclusive updates, including updated occlusion behavior for raytracing, reducing idle time stalls, and updated streaming budgets that will help alleviate traversal hitching. Additionally, there will be performance improvements for some VFX and updated data handling when toggling raytracing, improving non-raytraced performance.

The PS5 version of the game will receive a fix for an HDR value mismatch that would cause HDR setups to display incorrectly for PS5 users.

There are several fixes coming to all versions of Jedi: Survivor, including various save state errors, streaming issues that cause some streaming scenarios to end on a black screen, and audio fixes for narrative moments where music was behaving incorrectly. Lightsaber marks not displaying correctly in some scenarios will also be fixed.

Moreover, the developer has indicated that there are "a few known issues we’re currently investigating and working on for future patches." For example, Respawn Entertainment is still working on improving performance on newer i7 and i9 CPUs that have efficiency cores, as well as general performance improvements to enhance both CPU and GPU utilization while reducing idle time, both with and without raytracing.
