'The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria' Game Hits PS5 & PC This October

Indie developer Free Range Games and publisher North Beach Games are set to release their co-op survival crafting game, "The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria."

As revealed by IGN, the title will be released on Oct. 24 for Sony Group Corp's SONY PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via the Epic Games Store.

Meanwhile, a physical release for PS5 is scheduled for Dec. 5. The game will also arrive on Xbox Series X/S in early 2024, although a specific date is yet to be announced.

The title focuses on the Dwarves of J.R.R. Tolkien's world, sending players on a quest to reclaim their homeland in the Mines of Moria during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth.

Players can customize their own Dwarf character and explore the mines alone or with others online. As a survival crafting game, players will need to harness the Dwarves' inventive skills to create armor and weapons capable of battling various foes within the labyrinthine mine.

This release date announcement follows the reveal of a story trailer during Summer Game Fest.
