Starfield, one of the most awaited games from the house of Bethesda is soon going to be released for Xbox and PC users. The space RPG is the biggest release from Bethesda in a long time and is expected to be packed with a lot of content.
Starfield Release Date
The Starfield Premium Edition and the Constellation Edition will be released on Aug. 31, followed by a Sept. 5 release for the Standard Edition.
Starfield Preload Date
If you have pre-ordered Starfield or have a Game Pass, you can preload the game so that you don't have to wait to download the game once it is released. The Starfield preload for Xbox users began on Aug. 17, and PC users will be able to preload the game starting Wednesday, Aug. 30.

If you are using an Xbox X or S console, follow the below steps:
- Open the Xbox Store and search for Starfield.
- Now, click on "Pre-install" to preload the game on your console.
How To Preload Starfield On PC Via The Xbox App
If you have Xbox Game Pass, follow the below steps to preload Starfield on your PC:
- Open the Xbox app on your PC and click on the Starfield banner on the home screen.
- Now, click on "Pre-install" and the game will be preloaded on your PC.
How To Preload Starfield On Steam
If you have pre-ordered the game on Steam, follow the below steps:
- Open the Steam app on your PC and search for Starfield.
- Now, click on "Preload game" and install the game files.
Starfield Game Size
At present, the storage used by Starfield is 126GB for consoles and 140GB for PC. This may change if Bethesda releases a patch at launch.
